Cranberry crunch

Cranberry supply is expected to be tight in the run up to the Christmas period.
Production is higher than last year, but volumes going to the fresh market are reduced as growers have diverted supply into the processed business to achieve better returns.
Around 500 tonnes will be shipped to the UK markets this season.
The price is being pushed up due to reduced volumes from UK and Canada, and a dollar exchange rate that is 15% worse than last year.
